Giving Kids a Brighter Tomorrow

Who We Are

HALO (Helping And Leading Others) is a student-led club founded by Sophia Fox at Canterbury School and developed another branch at Fort Myers High School, committed to making a difference in the lives of foster children in Lee County by offering healing, connection, love, and outreach.

Partnered with the Children’s Network of SWFL, we create opportunities for foster children to enjoy fun-filled events at venues like Sky Zone, Defy, and IMAG. Our high school members are paired with foster children, providing mentorship and friendship. We believe every foster child deserves a day of fun and happiness, and we’re dedicated to providing that.

How We Make A Difference

HALO is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of foster children in Lee County. Partnering with the Children’s Network of SWFL, we provide unique opportunities for connection, fun, and support.
  • Partnering for Change: We collaborate with the Children’s Network of SWFL to identify and invite foster children to participate in our events, ensuring we reach those who can benefit most.
  • Creating Positive Experiences: We host engaging events at exciting venues like Sky Zone, Defy, and IMAG, creating a space where foster children can have fun, relax, and connect with high school students. Foster parents can drop off their kids or stay, relax, and have fun at the event.
  • Mentorship Through Play: Our events facilitate natural mentorship opportunities between high school students and foster children, promoting positive role models and a sense of community.
  • Supporting Foster Families: By providing these enriching experiences for foster children, we also indirectly support foster families by offering respite and positive outlets for the children in their care.

Be Part of the Experience

Through special events, HALO brings foster children and high school students together to share laughter, build friendships, and create unforgettable moments. These gatherings offer a space where kids can feel supported and cared for.
